Facilitated by activist and creative Sandy AbdelRahman, Our Voices was a collaborative project that explored what it means to be an Arab womxn in Britain today. This project was delivered over a one-day workshop where four Arab womxn explored their sense of belonging, identities, shames and vulnerabilities.
Following this workshop, each womxn created their own textile portrait, conveying their identities, worries and a 'map' of what makes them who they are. The group transformed their learnings and combined portraits to create a collective artwork and installation exhibited at Theatre Deli in London, accompanied by a short film of the workshop by Zula Rabikowska.
